Aida Batlle and her family have farmed coffee for over 5 generations. Known as one of the Coffee World’s Greats, Aida has a reputation for producing Cup of Excellence award-winning coffee (2003), working with coffee competition champions and exploring innovative processing methods.
“Chop-Chop” or ‘Scissor Cut’ is a unique coffee process; individual cherries are cut from the tree keeping the stem in tact, reducing airborne yeast and bacteria from influencing the fermentation process during drying. The result is a uniquely boozy but clean flavour profile.
With only 30kg produced exclusively for Criteria Coffee the Red Bourbon ‘Scissor Cut’ is a unique limited release. For those curious to experience an experimental processing technique, this special offering is one not to be missed.
Packaged in a refillable and reusable Tight-Vac canister, designed to create a vacuum seal keeping your beans fresh, whilst reducing the environmental impact of single use packaging. ** Beans will be shipped whole, grinds are not available for this order.
