We are excited to welcome back an outstanding coffee from Sumatra, with fresh crop of a 2024 favourite! Grown in the Northern region of Aceh Gayo, processed in the Takengon’s Pegasing district. What sets this coffee apart is not only it’s high quality, but it’s washed process, a rarity due to Sumatra’s humid climate – where natural processing dominates. Cherries are grown in rich volcanic soil of the Aceh region, here farm land is owned by various smallholding farmers, with up to 80% prodcution from female owned lots. Cherry is collected and processed at a central processing unit, where coffee is depulped and fermentation for up to 36 hours before a thorough washing. This unique coffee is characterised by clean, sweet flavors with a tart berry acidity.
