Welcome to Criteria Coffee (the ‘Site’). Please note our Terms and Conditions below.
You agree that the following terms govern your use of and purchase of products from our Site. Please note that your use of our Site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms express or implied
1. Transaction Currency and Pricing
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of any applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).
2. Shipping and Delivery within Australia
Australian delivery is available to all areas serviced via Australia Postal service or other postal service chosen by Criteria Coffee through the Shippit partner network.
COFFEE ORDERS: To ensure the freshness of your coffee orders PLEASE NOTE : We batch our roasts weekly on a Tuesday. Orders placed after 7am Tuesday will be included in the following roast session. If you have any questions about the scheduled roast date of your order, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NON COFFEE ORDERS: Criteria Coffee posts all other orders as near to practicable within three working days of order placement.
POSTAGE FEE AND DELIVERY TIME FRAMES: Postage and handling charges will vary depending on the size, weight and delivery location. Exact shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout. For FLATE RATE postal offer, we reserve the right to choose our preferred courier based on the location of the delivery. In most cases, deliveries will arrive within 5 working days of courier collection. However, delivery timelines are dependant on the postal provider, with Criteria Coffee not liable for any shipping delays. FLATE RATE shipping cost does not include signature on delivery. Parcels deemed unsafe to be left at the receiving address will follow the carriers standard parcel handling T&C. This will usually involve the parcel being sent to the nearest post office or depot for collection. Customers will be notified of the collection address by the carrier. A parcels shipping status can also be tracked via the carriers shipping ID that is emailed following dispatch. This email could be filtered into spam/junk folders. For orders not received within seven days of order dispatch, please contact us at email@example.com. Criteria Coffee reserves the right to adjust shipping costs, including flat rate offer, including orders linked to subscriptions and recurring orders.
Outside of Australia
If you would like to order items to be delivered outside of Australia, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote on shipping and an estimated delivery time.
3. Incorrect Addresses, Late Deliveries
As a customer of Criteria Coffee site, you must enter the correct delivery address details at the time of ordering. Should you enter the wrong address, Criteria Coffee is not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense. If the parcel can-not be returned or redirected, Criteria Coffee is not obliged to resend/replace the item. We will arrange for our delivery company to deliver products undamaged and by the estimated delivery date. If there is a delivery delay by the chosen delivery company, Criteria Coffee will not automatically reissue an order. Late delivery is not reason for an order cancellation or refund. Replacement is at the discretion of Criteria Coffee.
4. Customer Service
Criteria Coffee is here to support our customers. Some products listed on our website are bespoke items and may not be available in large volumes. We endeavour to keep stock and pricing true and correct. We endeavour to pack and ship all orders within two business day of purchase; in the event that an ordered item is not available, or we are unable to fulfil your order, we will endeavour to notify you within 2 business days to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a backorder or a full refund.
Subscriptions are roasted on a fortnightly rotation (Tuesday roast) with dispatch usually the following day. A subscription duration is set according to a customers preference of 3 month (6 deliveries), 6 month (12 deliveries) or ongoing. A monthly delivered subscription can be requested via email email@example.com for those selecting a minimum of 6 months duration. Subscribers can pause and resume their subscription deliveries from their customer dashboard. All deliveries should be issued within 12 months of commencing the chosen subscription. Unused deliveries will not be automatically refunded.
Single Origin Discovery Subscription
The ‘Single Origin Discovery’ Subscription will receive a unique coffee according to the delivery cycle. We try to introduce a new coffee for each delivery, for longer durations subscribers may get to enjoy the same coffee more than once within their subscription. On occasion subscribers will be rewarded with a SPECIAL RELEASE coffee (250g). The balance of larger volume deliveries will be made up from our seasonal selection, e.g a 500g subscription will receive 250g Special Release coffee + 250g of seasonal release coffee.
Ongoing Coffee Subscriptions
An ongoing subscription will be charged every fortnight on the anniversary of the purchase date until the subscriber chooses to cancel. Ongoing subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by contacting Criteria at firstname.lastname@example.org or by logging into the customer dashboard. Please note we require 5 working days’ notice to cancel a subscription or change delivery address if requested via email.
6. Returns and Refund Policy
Consumable goods: We endeavour to monitor the quality of our consumable products through our quality control process. If you are unsatisfied with any consumable purchase you have made from the site for any reason, please contact us via our contact page or email email@example.com to discuss your replacement or credit note options. Please note, requests for returns must be raised within 14 days of shipment date, subject to proof of purchase date and price. At the time of contact, please provide your name, order number, date of purchase, description of goods, reason for return request.
7. Non consumable goods: If you are not 100% satisfied with any equipment purchased from the Criteria Coffee website, please refer to the warranty set out on each individual product/Company website. For Example, AeroPress are covered by AeroPress warranty. If goods received have been wrongly described and are different to the product displayed on the website you can choose between a refund, exchange or credit.
- All merchandise items must be returned in original new condition including all original packaging.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- All return shipping charges must be prepaid by the sender. Criteria Coffee will not cover return postage costs.
Refunds if made are made only by electronic funds transfer, back to the original payment method/account. It is not practicable for cash refunds to be made.
8. 2 Day Roasting Workshop, and Sensory Skilling Workshop:
If a scheduled event doesn’t meet the required minimum number of attendees, we will reschedule the workshop for a future date, or offer a refund if the event is cancelled by Criteria Coffee. If a ticket holder is unwell please don’t attend the roastery. Contact us to organise a change of date, or transfer of attendance. If less than 1 weeks notice is given, without a request to change attendance date, or transfer attendance to another participant, a 40% Cancellation fee will be charged with 60% refunded. If a ticket holder fails to attend their confirmed workshop (no-show), a refund or transfer into another event will be at the discretion of Criteria Coffee.
From time to time there may be information on the Criteria Coffee site or in any Criteria Coffee literature, quotation, price list, tax invoice or other document or information issued by Criteria Coffee that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing or availability or otherwise.
Criteria Coffee may correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after an order has been submitted).Criteria Coffee will not incur any liability for any incorrect information which appears on the Criteria Coffee website or in any other document or information issued by Criteria Coffee and to any changes and/or updates thereof howsoever arising and you release Criteria Coffee from any liability for any damages, costs and expenses suffered or incurred by you or your Officers, servants, agents, employees and contractors arising therefrom.
Criteria Coffee products may be returned or exchanged in accordance with the policies above. The Criteria Coffee website and all contents of this Site are provided on an ‘as is’ basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or as to encumbrances.
You agree that your use of Criteria Coffee’s website is at your sole risk and that you are responsible for all costs associated with all necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment you use in connection with your use of Criteria Coffee’s website, and that Criteria Coffee shall not be liable for damages of any kind related to your use of this site and/or arising therefrom.
Criteria Coffee has the copyrights to the Criteria Coffee website and its contents (images and text). Contents of our website in whole or in part are intended solely for personal, non-commercial use and you agree not to by act or omission infringe the copyright of Criteria Coffee in whole or in part.
You may download or copy the contents and other downloadable materials displayed on the website for your personal use only. No right, title or interest in any downloaded materials is transferred to you as a result of any such downloading or copying.
You may not reproduce (except as noted above), publish, transmit, distribute, display, modify, create derivative works of, sell or participate in any sale of, or exploit in any way, in whole or in part, any of the Contents or the website and/or assign, encumber or deal with the same in any way, whether in whole or in part.
Your details are dealt with by Criteria Coffee through a server using 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 128-bit SSL encryption we believe is the current industry standard, but Criteria Coffee does not give any warranty express or implied as to its fitness for any purpose.
